450+ Days of Aging: Why the Age Is Not Given in Months

In the Nordi catalogue age is marked in months almost everywhere: «Aged 2+ months», «4+», «5+», «6+», «7+». Only two positions use a different unit — «Aged 450+ days». That is not a slip of the pen: 450 days is roughly 14.8 months, and at such a length rounding to a whole month already starts to lie. Below: how much this honestly is, why the boundary is set in days, where the step stands in the ladder of age, and what the V3 label has to do with it.

How many months are 450 days

Let us count without rounding up. An average month has 30.44 days (365.25 ÷ 12). Hence 450 ÷ 30.44 = 14.78, that is, 14.8 months. Almost fifteen — but not fifteen.

Counting backwards is more graphic. Fourteen months is about 426 days, fifteen is about 457. A term of 450 days falls between them and comes about a week short of fifteen months. A third way to check yourself: 450 = 365 + 85, that is, a year and another 85 days — a year and almost three months.

That is why the wording “more than fifteen months” is wrong for this step. It is correct to say “more than fourteen and a half months”, or simply “from 450 days” — the way it is written in the name of the batch.

Why a month is a poor unit at such a length

A month has no fixed length: from 28 to 31 days. While the term is short this does not get in the way — between «Aged 2+ months» and «Aged 4+ months» the difference is twofold, and it is visible without a calculator. But closer to a year and a half a step of one month is less than 7% of the term, and the eye cannot tell it apart: «14 months» and «15 months» read the same, although there are about 30 days between them.

Then rounding comes in, and both of its variants are bad. To round 450 days up, to «15+ months», means overstating the age by about a week. To round down, to «14+ months», means understating it by almost a month. In days there is no such fork: 450 is exactly 450 days, with no conversion through the average length of a month.

There is a practical reason as well. In the stock the monthly steps usually carry the registration date next to them — for example «Aged 5+ months | Reg. 03.2026» — and the term can be double-checked by arithmetic. The step measured in days has no such prop, so the label itself has to be exact.

«450+» is a lower bound, not a term

The «+» sign reads as “not less than”. «450+ days» means that the batch is not younger than 450 days; how much older it is does not follow from the name. The same principle holds for every step of the catalogue: «Aged 7+ months» is not less than seven months, «Aged 24+ months» is not less than twenty-four. Not one of them sets an upper bound.

Neither of the two positions with 450+ days of aging carries a «Reg.» label — the exact registration date is not stated in the passport of the batch. There is nothing here to verify the term against, the way it is done for the pair «Aged 5+ months | Reg. 03.2026». So the planning has to start from the lower bound as well: 450 days is what the label confirms, everything else is a guess.

Where the step stands in the ladder of age

The 450+ days step stands above seven-month aging and below the batches registered in 2023 and the archive ones of 2012–2020. All four steps lie in one category — Auto-registered accounts with aging, which holds 31 positions at prices from 15.52 to 120.11 ₽:

For the monthly and yearly steps the column with days is a recalculation against the date of the snapshot, not a label from the feed. For «Reg. 2023» the least favourable case for us is taken: even if the account was registered on the last day of 2023, by 19 August 2026 it is 962 days old. For the archive accounts 2012–2020 the same count gives a minimum of 2057 days, that is, more than five and a half years. Price follows age: 31.05 and 33.86 ₽ at the 450+ days step — more expensive than the seven-month batches and three to four times cheaper than the archive ones.

The V3 label next to it is about the build, not about age

Both positions with 450+ days of aging carry the V3 label, and the temptation to read this as “V3 means the most aged” is great. It is wrong. The V label denotes the generation of the build of the batch at the supplier — which revision of preparation made it — and it has nothing to do with the length of aging.

This is checked directly against the stock. The third position with a V label is «API autoreg | Aged | Reg. 03.2025 | V2» at 28.97 ₽. Registration March 2025: on the date of the snapshot the batch is about seventeen months old, that is, more than 500 days. Its version number is lower, while its age is higher. So V is not a scale of age but a separate field of the passport of the batch.

The fact that both positions with 450+ days come with V3 exactly is a fact of the current snapshot, not a rule of the catalogue. A coincidence of two labels on two SKUs is not a regularity: age and version live in different blocks of the name, and they must not be linked.

How «450+ days» differs from «Aged ~1 year»

Both labels describe an age of “a year and a bit”, but they speak about different things. «450+ days» is an exact lower bound in days: it will not be less. «Aged ~1 year» is an approximate category, and the tilde in it does not stand there for beauty: it means “about”, with no bound either below or above. A «~1 year» batch may turn out to be both older than 450 days and younger — that does not follow from the name.

The batches themselves differ as well. The 450+ days step is auto-registered accounts: «API autoreg» and «SMS API autoreg». There is one «Aged ~1 year» in the stock, and it is Real Device at 40.90 ₽, format IAM (No Cookie), 6 862 units left, minimum batch 50; it lies in the section Instagram from real devices. Comparing them directly “by age” is incorrect — these are different methods of registration and different categories.

There is one practical conclusion and it is a narrow one: if the task requires a confirmable minimum for the term, the label in days gives it right in the name, while the tilde does not. No conclusions about the behaviour of the accounts follow from this: the age of a batch is only the age of a batch.

«Aged 450+ days» is the only step of the catalogue marked in days, and the unit was not chosen by chance: 450 days is 14.8 months, and such a term cannot be written in months without distortion.
